Description: The exhibition consists mostly of previously unseen works, unlike the previous retrospective of more than sixty works, created between 1975 and 2015, presented in March 2016 in Barcelona, in two different venues: the Reial Cercle Artistic and the Casa degli Italiani.
All the works follow a unified path, characterized by art and architecture, the field in which Palumbo trained as an architect. It is a “unique journey” – according to the artist himself – carried out with steady steps in spaces that not only do not exclude each other, but on the contrary, support one another, integrating reflections on material and the memory of places, people, and things, civic engagement, and the most authentic respect for the values of identity and community. A social value of Art that unfortunately seems increasingly absent in the most well-known events in the sector, such as ARCO in Spain or the Venice Biennale in Italy.
