Description: For the first time, a group of previously unknown compositions by Bernardo Pasquini is being published, which I discovered in a manuscript kept at the Provincial Archive of Cristo Re in Bologna.
The manuscript, which arrived headless and mutilated at the end, presents a first series of fifteen verses, followed by an Introduction and Pastorale in G major, and finally a second series of forty-five verses. Although it is a fairly late copy, some graphic-musical aspects suggest that the copyist transcribed Pasquini's pieces from a manuscript probably dating back to the composer's era, that is, the late 1600s or early 1700s.
